I saw this on the web and thought if we place enough of these out on the course we might eliminate the bug issue as well as fogging.
What I need is a ton of empty 2 liter bottles. I’ll make the traps and place them around the courses and camping area. So, please help out. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to organize collecting the bottles.
Here is the link to where I saw them. The link is: Mosquito Traps
I remember as a kid in the 60’s spending a lot of my summers out at the range. There were club shoots every other week during the summer. I would like the club to get back to those days. The first step is to have everyone get together and show support for your club, Blackhawk Field Archers. One of the next steps would be to have a round of field targets. Dorney and I spent Saturday morning going through the front round and seeing what needs to be done. I have to admit it is not as bad as I thought.
What I am planning is a work party on the 20th and 21st of June starting at 8am. We need as many people here as possible to make quick work of the list of things we want to get done. Bring your kids and make a family outing of it. EVERYONE can lend a hand from cleaning the trails to wrapping the bails. I can’t stress enough that we need as many people that we can get to make quick work of this list of tasks. The benefit will be is we have a 14 target field round for us to shoot ANYTIME.
I will be there at 7am with Donuts! So come out and get your hours in on something we all can enjoy. The photos are some that I found taken at the Hillbilly Shoot in August 1963.
Blackhawk Field Archers are having a Conceal Carry Class on July 18th & 19th starting at 8am. You must be there both days to complete the course.
The course will be limited to 8 people. The cost is $250.00 this includes Range Fees and training materials, if you’re a member of BFA there is a $50 discount.
Contact Michael Kellar to get the code for the discount. There are only 8 spots available and they are going fast! So, don’t wait, register today.
